Ephesus with its superb extensive ruins is only a few miles from
the Aegean Sea. These ruins reveal the brilliant cultural life of
this ancient Ionian city which flourished from 6th Century BC
onwards. Ephesus is the site of the Temple of Artemis, this colossal
temple measuring 500 feet wide x 150 feet tall was considered one
of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
