From Elizabeth Wright & Frogtown Kayak
These four images were sent by Elizabeth Wright and Frogtown Kayak. Instead of using the totem pole stencil parts to create a tall totem pole, Elizabeth used this design to decorate her Kayak.
This is what she said:-
"I thought you might be interested in how I used the "totem pole" stencil on my skin-on-frame kayak. It was great that the designs were separate, because that made it easy to conform the icons to the width of the fore and aft deck of the boat. Thanks for such a great product!

This Totem Pole stencil can be found in our American Indian Theme Catalogue.

From Mano
Mano sent a couple of photos of projects he did. They are both done entirely with metallic foil - no paint.
Mano's swan composition was inspired by the picture illustrated in the Water Garden Catalogue.
Mano sent an explanation as to how he used foiling.
"It is actually simple. What I did was prime and paint a board black. Then I applied Aquasize water-based size onto it with a smooth roller. After the size came to tack (20 minutes or so), I placed the second layer of the stencil on the surface. With two layer stencils such as your elephant stencil, I had to work in reverse because whatever area has been "foiled" will not accept any color after that. So, on the second (detail) layer, I placed a piece of foil (color side up) over the area I wanted to be gold, for example, and scrubbed the foil vigorously with a small stiff brush. That transfers the color to the area exposed in the stencil openings. I continued to do this with various colored foils. After that, I placed the first layer and did the same thing with different foils. When the elephant was done, I colored the background with copper, blue, green and other metallic foils, basically just scrubbing in a horizontal way. The nice thing is that whatever has been colored with foil remains that color and so if you are using other colors, they get onto only the area which has the size."
The swans and waterlilies were simpler because they are single layer stencils.

"This is of my stencil I did on my landing wall as you walk up the stairs. It's beautiful and I'm really pleased with it. I also put 4 small stick on jewels on the the tiara and some down the centre of the dress that catch the light."
